The 2nd Year Junior Diploma in Fine Art (Advanced Level) is designed for students who have completed the basic level. It focuses on colour theory, composition, still life, and landscape drawing, helping children build stronger artistic skills and creative confidence. A diploma is awarded upon completion.
This is the second-year course in the Junior Diploma series, designed for students who have completed the first (basic) year. It focuses on enhancing creative understanding, developing strong colour sense, practicing structured compositions, and studying key art elements in more depth. This course bridges foundational skills to more confident artistic expression.
Importance of Secondary and Tertiary Colours in art
What is Colour? Understanding Warm, Cool, and Monochromatic colours
Identify and name Basic, Secondary, and at least 10 Tertiary colours
Study and description of birds and animals, including body structure
Introduction to local Indian artists and their contributions
Key Art Terms: Landscape, Line, Balance, Form (Shape), Art
Comparative study of mediums – Oil, Water, and Crayon colours
Elements and Principles of Art
The role and importance of art in daily life
Still Life Study – Drawing compositions using two or more real-life objects
Outdoor Sketching – Black & white sketching of nature: trees, animals, flowers

Fruits and Vegetables
Geometrical Designs
Landscape Drawing – On-the-spot nature sketching by observing real environments
Previous year’s concepts will be revised and integrated for deeper learning
