A beginner to intermediate-level art course covering the essentials of still life drawing and composition. Learn how to arrange objects, apply principles of design, and work with shading techniques across mediums like pencil, ink, charcoal, and watercolour.
Still Life and Composition is a foundational study in art where students learn to observe and represent inanimate objects (like fruits, flowers, bottles, etc.) while understanding the aesthetic placement of elements in space. This 3-month course introduces the concepts of still life, principles of composition, light, shade, object arrangement, and balance in design. Students explore different angles, viewpoints, and materials to draw realistic and expressive still life compositions. The course is structured to make technical concepts easy, interactive, and enjoyable for beginners and advancing artists alike.
