                                                           Warli Painting

    About the Course

Warli Painting is a traditional folk art of Maharashtra, practiced by the Warli tribes as a symbolic form of prayer and celebration. This rustic art is characterized by its use of basic geometric shapes—circle, triangle, and square—to depict scenes of daily life, festivities, farming, and nature. Traditionally done on red ochre walls using rice paste or white pigment, this style remains a cherished cultural treasure.

This 2-month certificate course is designed for those passionate about Indian folk art and aims to provide hands-on knowledge of various Warli styles and compositions, including wedding ceremonies, tribal dances, and natural elements. Students will explore figure drawing, brush control, and the preparation of natural surfaces and colours to create authentic Warli artworks.
